Cookeville Builds Two New Fire Stations in Largest Project Yet
The City of Cookeville has begun construction on two brand-new fire stations, marking the largest fire department project in city history. Strategically located on Gould Drive and North Washington Avenue, the stations are designed to improve response times and better serve the growing community.
Each facility will include modern decontamination areas, training towers, and four pull-through bays for emergency vehicles. At nearly 17,000 square feet each, they’ll also feature classrooms and upgraded living quarters for crews.
This dual-station build reflects a major investment in public safety, firefighter health, and long-term community readiness. Both are expected to be completed by late 2025 or early 2026.
